At Pain Management Center, the health and well-being of our patients, staff, and communities is our top priority. We understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) and we are committed to being responsive as the situation evolves. We have kept a diligent eye on every recommendation issued by the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control and have used those recommendations to bolster our already robust safety and sanitation procedures.
Currently, our office hours are as follows: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.
Here are the additional steps we’ve taken to ensure the safety of our patients:
- All patients will be required to wear a face mask covering their nose and mouth from the moment they enter the waiting room until they leave the clinic. Patients will use their own masks as one will not be provided. Any patient who does not have a mask will not be treated and will have their appointment rescheduled. “Cloth face coverings can be made from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost” (CDC 04/2020).
- Please refrain from bringing additional people to your appointment. If you must bring someone to your appointment, he/she will have to wait outside of the clinic. No one will be allowed to stay in our waiting room (for the time being).
- Our waiting room and treatment rooms are frequently and routinely cleaned and disinfected.
- Magazines have been removed from our waiting rooms, minimizing contact exposure.
- Additional hand sanitizers have been added to heavily trafficked locations of our clinic.
- Every person entering the clinic undergoes a temperature check before entering the treating area.
- If a patient presents fever, cough, shortness of breath, or any other questionable symptom(s), their appointment will be rescheduled.
- Patients are scheduled every 30 minutes instead of every 15 minutes to minimize person-to-person contact.
- Expeditious check-in and scheduling process are in place to minimized exposure.
- We are offering virtual appointments (Telehealth) with our providers. With virtual appointments, we will be able to monitor the progression of symptoms, self-care, therapeutic exercises, and proper biomechanics recommendations.
- Bathroom keys are left inside a container with alcohol before and after each use.
- We will maintain social distancing and ask that patients respectfully do the same.
- Our staff is wearing masks at all times.
- All providers are wearing masks, face shields, and redoubling efforts to clean and sanitize hands before and after contact with patients.
- Any employee, who exhibits any signs of illness or has come into contact with anyone exhibiting signs of illness will be sent home for no less than 14 days.
- Any patient, who exhibits any signs of illness or has come into contact with anyone exhibiting signs of Coronavirus, will not be treated and their appointment(s) will be rescheduled appropriately.
- An AeraMax 300 Large Room Air Purifier (True HEPA Filter with 4-Stage Purification), has been set in place and running 24/7 in our clinic.
- Older adults and people who have severe underlying medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19 illness. Temporarily, these patients will not be scheduled for their own protection (Exceptions apply).
