COVID-19 vaccine: All Americans age 16 and up are eligible
Kaiser Permanente recommends getting vaccinated as soon as possible.
On April 19, the federal government announced that everyone 16 and older is eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
“This is a tremendous milestone. Open eligibility means we are that much closer to putting the pandemic behind us…”
Craig Robbins, MD, co-lead for Kaiser Permanente’s national COVID-19 vaccination program.
Demand is high, and vaccine supplies remain limited
The vaccine supply is increasing; however, the eligibility expansion means that demand will be at an all-time high. Make an appointment in your community to secure your spot!
How Can I Get an Appointment?
All the available vaccines are known to be safe, effective, and life-saving, and vaccinations are free. Here are some ways to sign up for a vaccination:
- Request an appointment at Kaiser Permanente on kp.org/covidvaccine. They’re offering appointments at many of their facilities and will continue to increase appointment availability as they continue to receive additional vaccine supplies.
- Visit VaccineFinder to find vaccination providers near you. In some states, information may be limited while more vaccination providers and pharmacies are being added to the directory.
- Check your local pharmacy’s website to see if vaccination appointments are available. Get a list of pharmacies participating in the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program.
- Contact your state health department to find additional vaccination locations in the area.
